The Secret Visitor
Original oil painting on canvas
30x40cm

I was sitting quietly in our olive grove in Tuscany,
wondering what I should paint next, when this little black and white
cat appeared amongst the trees.

I had never seen him before.
He simply sat there, watching me through the olive branches, as though he had arrived with the answer.

So I painted him.

The Secret Visitor captures that unexpected moment, a little encounter in the olive grove that became my next painting.
