Sides painted  
Painted from a viewpoint just a few minutes from my home in Sussex, this landscape reflects a place I walk through often. The winding path, grazing sheep and distant windmill sit within a countryside that feels timeless a landscape that has likely looked much the same for centuries.
I wanted the painting to capture that quiet moment of standing above the valley, watching the light move across the fields while the path disappears gently into the distance.
This is a landscape I return to often on my walks, and painting it felt like capturing a familiar and much-loved view.
This painting was recently submitted to Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2026
